Katie Piper recently launched her new period underwear brand, Piper, and celebrated with a night out at the Love & Roses party. The TV personality, 43, wore a purple sequin cami top with a matching midi skirt, paired with black open-toe heels and silver jewelry.
The festive event was hosted by Ashley James in collaboration with the fashion brand Love & Roses to mark the start of the holiday party season. Also in attendance were Georgia Horsley and Louise Roe.
Piper, a British period lingerie and menstrual wellbeing brand, was inspired by Piper's daughter Belle, who began menstruating at age 11. Piper aimed to create period underwear that women and girls would want to wear, stating she is not attempting to create another SKIMS. "I want it to become a trusted, recognisable British brand that changes expectations of period underwear," Piper said.
Piper's product development was driven by her own frustration with the limited styles and colors available in period underwear, which led her to compromise her personal style. "Why should confidence, femininity and personal style disappear during our periods?" she questioned. "Women should never have to choose between feeling protected and feeling like themselves."
The brand launched with 26 product and color variations, including thongs, Brazilian briefs, bikini briefs, high-waisted briefs, and boxer shorts. The collection features various fabrics and designs, challenging traditional norms for period underwear. Each item includes an absorbent gusset and Piper’s FlowGrade™ testing and rating system.
Piper also launched a free app called Piper Period in September to help users track their cycles and menstrual wellbeing. The Piper period lingerie collection and the app are available on PiperPeriod.com.
