Jen Affleck, 27, has filed for divorce from her husband, Zac Affleck, 30, according to documents reviewed by The Daily Mail. The petition for divorce and a parenting plan proposal were filed on Tuesday in Utah's Fourth Judicial District Court. Jen is currently pregnant with the couple's fourth child.
The reality star's filing comes after relationship problems between Jen and Zac were showcased on the Hulu series "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives." Details surrounding the reasons for the split or how custody will be divided were not made clear in the court documents.
An insider told People that Zac is "doing okay" and that he and Jen are focused on preparing for the new baby and supporting their existing children. The couple met on Mutual, a dating app for Mormon singles, in 2018 and married in June 2019. They have three children: Nora, five, Lucas, three, and Penelope, one.
Jen revealed her pregnancy with their fourth child on Instagram in June. The show documented some of the couple's marital issues, including Jen's unhappiness with Zac's gambling and Zac's displeasure with Jen attending a Chippendales performance.
In September, Jen told Vulture that she found it "scary to have your relationship exposed to the world" and that they entered the season in a "rocky place." She added that they had been in therapy and that if changes were not made, they might need to "look at other options." Jen, who has relocated to Southern California, is set to appear on the Hulu spinoff "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County," premiering November 12.
Both Jen and Zac are required to attend divorce orientation and parenting classes within specified timeframes after the filing and notice, respectively.
