Dafne Keen, the 21-year-old actress known for her roles in "Logan" and "His Dark Materials," has revealed that she was offered cocaine at Hollywood parties from the age of 11 or 12. Keen shared these experiences during an appearance on the "Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum" podcast.
Keen, who began her acting career at age nine, explained that witnessing such behavior from a young age led her to have no interest in drugs or excessive drinking. "I don't think I've ever been drunk enough to even have a hangover. I'm such a control freak with that," she told host Michael Rosenbaum. She elaborated that she was offered illicit substances at wrap parties, stating, "I was getting offered coke at wrap parties. Like, tiny. Like 11, 12, 13."
To avoid peer pressure as a teenager, Keen admitted she would sometimes lie to her peers, claiming she had already consumed substances. "I'd be like, 'Nah, I'm good. I don't wanna drink. I already took something,'" she recalled, clarifying that in reality, she was "dead sober."
Keen also spoke about the positive influence of her "Logan" co-star Hugh Jackman, who she said was very protective of her on set. "He made sure that no one was abusing my hours, that I was having fun on set, that I wasn't aware of any tensions that would've been happening behind the scenes," she said. "He was so incredibly protective and amazing."
Despite her experiences, Keen stated that her preference for sobriety has not hindered her social life, emphasizing that she enjoys going out and dancing sober. She has also reprised her "Logan" role as X-23 in the 2024 film "Deadpool & Wolverine."
