Australia's elite gathered at Flemington Racecourse on Thursday for the prestigious Crown Oaks Day, a highlight of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

The event, known for its fashion, saw many women dressed in elaborate outfits. Among the notable arrivals was former high jumper Amy Pejkovic, who wore a striking yellow lace gown complemented by a straw hat and animal print stilettos. Celebrity stylist and shoe designer Lana Wilkinson also made an appearance, opting for a pastel pink strapless dress with a matching wide-brimmed hat. She accessorized with shoes from her own collection and a candy pink handbag.

Crown Oaks Day serves as a fitting finale for the Melbourne Cup Carnival's Fashions on the Field competition. The winners for Best Suited and Best Dressed across the carnival were slated to be announced later in the day. The Elms Live Stage was set to feature Australian popstar Vanessa Amorosi performing some of her well-known hits.
