A diver captured a surprising underwater moment off the coast of Baja California, Mexico, when a pufferfish photobombed her selfie. The resulting photograph creates the illusion that the fish's head has merged with the diver's body.

Sumire Kamiya, who was visiting from Okinawa, Japan, was taking underwater selfies when a group of pufferfish surrounded her. At a precise moment, one pufferfish swam directly in front of her face and the camera.

The fish lined up perfectly with Kamiya's body for a split second, creating a humorous "animal face-swap" effect. Kamiya stated that the alignment was completely unplanned and that she only noticed the comical match later when reviewing the photos.

She described the moment as "unplanned, which made it even funnier," and expressed her disbelief at how perfectly the pufferfish's face aligned with where her own should have been in the image.
