Leigh-Anne Pinnock, a pregnant former member of the pop group Little Mix, drew attention at London Fashion Week on Monday for modeling a provocative creation by the designer Di Petsa. The garment featured a sculptural bra designed to mimic lactation, complete with spouts that released liquid, drawing a strong reaction from onlookers and online commentators.

Pinnock, 34, closed the Spring/Summer 2027 collection show in an all-white ensemble. As she spun on the runway, the bra appeared to spray liquid onto other models seated around her. The collection, titled "Holy Milk," was described by Di Petsa in a press release as creating "a striking commentary on motherhood, the body and care as spectacle, placing an intimate act within the highly constructed world of the fashion runway."

Pinnock herself expressed a sense of empowerment, sharing an image of herself in the attire on social media and stating it was "probably the most empowered I’ve ever felt." She is expecting her third child later this year with her husband, footballer Andre Gray.

However, the fashion display did not resonate with all viewers. Social media comments expressed a range of opinions, with some questioning the design and its presentation. "Holy f--k what even [is] that?!?!," wrote one commenter, while another stated, "Breastfeeding is a very important part of a child’s life. It isn’t to be sexualized or made in Disgust. This is unacceptable and needs to be taken down." Others argued that the spectacle was out of touch with the lived experiences of mothers and that it did not align with the challenges women face in normalizing public breastfeeding.

The London-based fashion house Di Petsa, founded by Greek designer Dimitra Petsa, is known for its focus on themes connecting women, water, and the body. Previous notable designs include a "Wetlook" gown worn by actress Laura Harrier at the 2026 Met Gala and a "Breastfeeding Bride Corset" offered for sale.

The brand's website states its designs celebrate "the Watery self, the fact that we come from water" and aims to explore the connection between elements like water and the female anatomy. This approach has also led to designs like the "Breastfeeding Bride Corset," described as encouraging women to "Nourish yourself with the love you give to others, but rarely allow within."

The fashion week event occurred amid a broader trend in fashion exploring revealing styles, including pasties and the resurgence of pushup bras, indicating a continued interest in emphasizing the bust in various forms on the runway and in popular culture.
