Singer Pixie Lott recently shared a series of striking images on Instagram, channeling the iconic Marilyn Monroe as she prepares for her role in the upcoming play "Who Killed Marilyn?" The photos, posted on Sunday, show Lott with blonde curls and red lipstick, striking a pose in a lace bra, embodying the Hollywood screen siren.

Lott, 35, is set to portray Monroe in the new play, which is scheduled to debut later this month at London's Emerald Theatre. The production explores the myths and conspiracies surrounding the legendary actress's death. Alongside the sultry pose, Lott also shared images of herself in a casual outfit wearing the wig and glimpses of the play's script. The show is scheduled to run from August 15 to October 29.

In a statement released last month, Lott expressed her excitement for the role, stating, "I am absolutely thrilled to be stepping into the iconic shoes of Marilyn Monroe for Who Killed Marilyn? at the Emerald Theatre in the West End." She added, "I have always loved Marilyn - she is such a fascinating, timeless legend, and bringing her complex story to life on this beautiful stage and being her every night is an absolute dream come true for me."

Lott's Instagram post, captioned "say hi to my marilyn era," garnered positive reactions from fans. This is not the first time Lott has paid homage to Monroe. In 2018, she transformed into the actress for Jade Thirlwall's icon-themed birthday party, wearing a white plunging dress reminiscent of Monroe's style.

Monroe, who died in 1962 at the age of 36, continues to be a subject of fascination. Lott has previously spoken about her admiration for the star, noting the enduring mystery surrounding her life. In a 2016 interview, Lott expressed a longing for a time when celebrities maintained more privacy, contrasting it with the accessibility of stars in the digital age.
