Phillip Schofield's Jaguar was towed from the scene after a collision that left visible damage to the vehicle, with the former television presenter appearing unbothered as it was loaded onto a recovery truck.

The 63-year-old was photographed smiling and speaking with the tow operator as his car — reported to be worth about £60,000 — was lifted onto the recovery vehicle. The car showed a flat tyre and a large dent on the far-side door.

A representative for Schofield told Metro that the collision occurred as he was driving through roadworks when another driver pulled out of a car park and struck his vehicle. "The other driver admitted full liability. Thankfully no one was hurt and all was very cordial with no drama. Accidents happen," the representative said.

Photographs from the scene show Schofield standing with his hands in his pockets and smiling while his car was loaded. There were no reports of injuries at the scene.

Schofield stepped back from his longstanding presenting role on ITV's This Morning in 2023 after acknowledging a consensual relationship with a younger colleague and admitting he had lied about it. In a May 2023 statement to the Daily Mail, he said he was "deeply sorry for having lied" to employers, colleagues and family and described the relationship as "unwise but not illegal." He also said he was resigning from ITV with immediate effect.

The revelation prompted a public and professional fallout. Schofield's once close friendship with former co-host Holly Willoughby fractured after the affair came to light; both have issued public statements reflecting the strain on their relationship. Schofield has since made a limited return to television, appearing on Channel 5's Cast Away, a programme in which participants are isolated on an island.

Reports at the time said his wife, Stephanie Lowe, was "devastated" by the disclosure but later chose not to file for divorce, with coverage indicating she did not want him to "fall any further." Schofield has credited his daughters with supporting him through the fallout and has spoken publicly about struggling with his mental health, saying his children helped prevent him from taking his own life. His daughter Molly has also taken on duties as his publicist after leaving the agency that once represented him.

The collision is the latest public incident involving Schofield since his departure from daytime television, but his representative described it as a routine accident with no lasting consequences beyond damage to the vehicle. No further comment was provided on any insurance or repair arrangements.
