Penelope Cruz and Olivia Wilde illuminated the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of their new comedy, "The Invite," held Wednesday night at the DGA Theatre. Cruz, 52, captivated onlookers in a pale blue, low-cut gown adorned with sequin details and a flowing skirt. Her brunette hair, styled in an updo with loose waves framing her face, complemented her makeup, which featured smoky brown eyeliner, nude lipstick, and a dusting of peach blush.
Wilde, 42, who also directed the film, stood out in a black, puff-sleeved gown with a striking stomach cut-out that showcased her abs. The voluminous dress flowed to the floor, and she accessorized with dangling green and gold earrings. Her blonde hair was pulled back in a bun, and she opted for her signature black eyeshadow.
"The Invite" is slated for theatrical release on Friday, June 26. The film centers on a married couple, Joe, played by Seth Rogen, and Angela, played by Wilde, whose marriage is strained. The plot takes an unexpected turn when they invite their enigmatic upstairs neighbors, Pina and Hawk, portrayed by Cruz and Edward Norton, to a dinner party. This marks Wilde's third directorial project, following "Booksmart" and "Don't Worry Darling." The script was penned by Rashida Jones, Will McCormack, and Cesc Gay.
Also in attendance were cast members Seth Rogen and Edward Norton. Rogen, 44, arrived with his wife, Lauren Miller Rogen, 44, dressed in a navy blue plaid suit.
Norton, 56, looked dapper in a gray blazer, matching slacks, a black V-neck shirt, and leather shoes.
Other notable guests included singer Kesha, who wore a backless white dress that highlighted her tattoos.
Alicia Silverstone, 49, exuded chic style in a belted navy blue jacket, flared jeans, pointed-toe boots, and a fitted black top. Rashida Jones, 50, sported a black blazer with lace details and flared slacks.
Sanaa Lathan, 54, chose an elegant royal blue slip dress with a matching jacket, while Zoe Lister-Jones, 43, opted for a gold blazer paired with a white bra top.
