Paris Jackson, the daughter of the late Michael Jackson, has ignited romance rumors following her appearance at the "Jackass" premiere on Wednesday. She was photographed with an unidentified man, marking a public outing approximately one year after the dissolution of her engagement.
Jackson, 28, wore a long-sleeved brown mini dress with a plaid shirt tied around her waist for the event. She completed her ensemble with heel boots and gold jewelry. Her companion sported a cream shirt over a white top and black jeans. The pair appeared to be in good spirits, with the man's arm around Jackson's waist as they posed for photographs. Representatives for Jackson have been contacted for comment.
Jackson and her former fiancé, actor Justin Long, ended their engagement in July of the previous year, shortly after she was observed crying in public. She confirmed the breakup on social media, attributing the tears to the end of their relationship.
Their engagement had been announced on December 6, 2024, with Jackson expressing joy and describing their time together as an "indescribable whirlwind." A photograph accompanying the announcement depicted Long proposing to Jackson in a theater lobby. However, the post was later deleted from Jackson's Instagram account following their split.
Prior to the public confirmation of their split, Jackson appeared to still be wearing her engagement ring in June, when she attended the Tribeca Festival with Long. At that time, she indicated in an interview that wedding preparations were underway.
Concerns were raised in June when Jackson was photographed appearing upset on the side of a road in Malibu, with Long offering comfort. This occurred shortly before the anniversary of her father Michael Jackson's death on June 25, 2009.
Earlier in June, Jackson addressed criticism from fans regarding her scheduling a performance on the anniversary of her father's death. She explained via Instagram Stories that as an opening act, she does not control performance dates and stated her intention to perform as scheduled. She also mentioned that Long, her fiancé at the time, was her sound guy and they were traveling together.
Long first appeared on Jackson's social media in 2022, and the couple is believed to have started dating that year. Jackson's relationship with Long followed a two-year engagement with her bandmate Gabriel Glenn, which ended in 2020. Jackson has previously discussed her romantic relationships, stating in 2020 that she had "dated more men than women" and had previously identified as gay. She has also been linked to other individuals, including Cara Delevingne, Tom Kilbey, and Michael Snoddy.
