Olivia Rodrigo has been seen publicly displaying affection with her new partner, private equity associate Julian Croonenberghs, in New York City. This marks Rodrigo's first confirmed public relationship since her split from Louis Partridge.

Rodrigo, 23, was photographed kissing Croonenberghs' hand and resting in his arms in a park. She maintained a low profile, wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap with a vest top and denim shorts. Croonenberghs was also seen kissing Rodrigo's hand and cuddling her. The Daily Mail reported on their relationship earlier this month.

Rodrigo's relationship with English actor Louis Partridge, which lasted two years, reportedly inspired her latest album, "You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love." The couple ended their relationship in December 2025.

Previously, Rodrigo dated Bizaardvark co-star Ethan Wacker during her teenage years. She was also linked to DJ Zack Bia in 2022 and producer Adam Faze. Her high school musical co-star Joshua Bassett is widely believed to have been the inspiration for much of her debut album, "Sour."

Fans have reportedly defended Rodrigo's dating life, with social media comments highlighting perceived double standards. The singer is currently promoting her third studio album, "You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love," which has achieved critical acclaim and commercial success. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 485,000 copies sold, marking the second-highest first-week sales of 2026. Following the lead single "Drop Dead" reaching number one on the Hot 100, Rodrigo became the first artist in Billboard history to have her first three lead singles and studio albums debut at the top of their respective charts.

Rodrigo shot to fame in 2021 with Drivers License, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks and fueled speculation about Joshua Bassett and a rumored Sabrina Carpenter love triangle; Above, with Bassett in 2022

Internationally, "You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love" has also topped charts in the UK, Australia, France, and Sweden. Additional singles from the album, "The Cure" and "Stupid Song," have reached the top five on the Hot 100. Several publications, including Rolling Stone, Variety, and NME, have listed the album among the best of 2026 so far.

Rodrigo is preparing for her 86-date "Unraveled" world tour, which begins in September and has already seen tickets sell out rapidly, leading to the addition of more dates. She has also established the all-female festival "Daisy Chain Fields," with proceeds benefiting charity. The festival lineup includes Stevie Nicks, Karen O, Katseye, Chappell Roan, Garbage, and Sarah McLachlan.
