Nicole Kidman has offered fans a look behind the scenes of the upcoming sequel "Practical Magic 2," set to be released in U.S. and U.K. theaters on September 11. The actress shared a slideshow of 20 photographs on social media last Friday, captioning it "Just a little magic!"

Among the images were shots of Kidman on the roof of the Owens family home in Massachusetts, accompanied by co-stars Joey King, who plays her character Gillian's niece Kylie, and Maisie Williams. Sandra Bullock, who reprises her role as Sally Owens, was also pictured.

Kidman also shared footage of a scene involving a midnight margarita, featuring Bullock, as well as onscreen aunt caretakers played by Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing. "The Owens women must once again unite, traveling from their home in Massachusetts to the United Kingdom to confront the source of their magic and save the next generation of their family," according to the film's logline.

The plot of the sequel, set 25 years after the original film, centers on Kylie developing her own dark abilities in order to fix the family's centuries-long curse after her boyfriend (Xolo Maridueña) dies in a bicycle accident in London

The sequel's plot, set 25 years after the original film, centers on Kylie developing her own magical abilities to break the family's curse following the death of her boyfriend. The story is adapted from Alice Hoffman's 2021 sequel, "The Book of Magic."

King, who stars as Kylie, spoke about her connection with Kidman, noting their previous collaboration and Kidman's supportive nature. She also described Bullock as being like a mother figure to her and other young co-stars, sending them voice notes and offering encouragement.

Lindsay Lohan expressed her enthusiasm for the film in the comments section of Kidman's post with a red heart emoji. One Instagram user suggested Stevie Nicks would be a fitting musical addition to the film.

Kidman and Bullock served as executive producers for the Warner Bros. Pictures film, which also features Lee Pace and Solly McLeod. The original "Practical Magic," released in 1998 and based on Alice Hoffman's 1995 novel, received mixed critical reviews but gained a strong following among audiences, despite a box office performance that did not recoup its production budget.
