Nicola Coughlan has begun filming her guest appearance on the Hulu series "Only Murders in the Building" in London. The actress, known for her role in "Bridgerton," was spotted in costume at Freemasons' Hall, a new filming location for the show.
Coughlan, 39, was seen in an apparent disguise, wearing a scarf around her head, as her character was filmed in scenes that appeared to be a courtroom trial. She was pictured alongside series stars Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short. Gomez was seen in a black outfit, while Martin and Short were also on set.
Jodie Whittaker also joined the cast for filming, portraying a barrister. In one scene, her character was shown in a heated phone call before discarding a wig.
This season marks the first time "Only Murders in the Building" has filmed outside of the United States, with principal photography commencing in the UK in May. Other notable guest stars announced for the new season include David Tennant, Jim Broadbent, Jennifer Saunders, and Martin Freeman.
Coughlan shared her excitement about the role on Instagram, humorously calling it "the nicest summer job I've ever had."
The production is returning to work following a personal loss for Martin Short. His daughter, Katherine, died in May at the age of 42 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Short addressed her passing in a public interview last month, speaking about her struggles with mental health and drawing parallels to his late wife's battle with cancer.
