The next actor to embody James Bond is anticipated to be revealed by the end of the year, according to a producer for the long-running film franchise. Cameras are expected to begin rolling on the next installment, currently referred to as 'Bond 26', in 2027, five years after Daniel Craig's final outing in 'No Time To Die'.
Speculation about potential candidates has included actors such as Jacob Elordi and Callum Turner. As the franchise gears up for a new era, fans can immerse themselves in the world of 007 at '007 Elements', the world's only official James Bond museum. Located above the Austrian resort town of Sölden, the attraction offers a journey through the film series' most memorable moments.
Opened in 2018, '007 Elements' is carved into the Gaislachkogl mountain at an altitude of 3,050 meters (10,000 feet). The 1,300-square-meter concrete structure was developed with the backing of EON Productions and MGM, in collaboration with local architects and a cable car company. The attraction features nine interactive galleries spread over two floors, showcasing iconic gadgets, weapons, and even the Britten-Norman BN-2 Islander plane featured in 'Spectre'. The experience culminates in a full HD screening of the six-minute chase sequence from that film.
The museum's location was inspired by the futuristic 'Ice Q' restaurant, a glass-and-steel structure that opened on the mountain in 2013 and caught the attention of the film franchise's location scouts. The surrounding snow-capped peaks and roads provided an ideal backdrop for filming, and the restaurant now offers diners panoramic views of the Ötztal Alps, with promotional material for '007 Elements' enhancing its appeal to film enthusiasts.
Sölden, renowned for its skiing, also offers a variety of summer activities. Visitors can experience adrenaline-fueled adventures, including tobogganing on a 7.3km track, go-karting, and a wide range of sports at Area 47, an adventure park located a short drive from the resort. Cable cars, which also featured in 'Spectre', provide access to the mountain's attractions.
Accommodation options in Sölden include the Das Central hotel, a family-run establishment that has been operating for over 50 years. The hotel offers modern luxury with nods to Tyrolean heritage and amenities such as an outdoor infinity pool and a spa. Guests can opt for half-board dining, featuring multi-course meals.
Beyond Sölden, the Timmelsjoch pass offers a scenic drive through the Ötztal Alps, connecting to South Tyrol and Italy.
Travel Information: Tickets for '007 Elements' start at approximately £54.90 for adults and £30.45 for children, including cable car access. Activities at Area 47 are booked separately, with a family rafting experience costing around £175. Bed and breakfast stays at Das Central start from £324 per night.
