Netflix is reportedly in talks to produce a third movie installment of the popular British sitcom "The Inbetweeners," with all four original male leads — Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, James Buckley, and Blake Harrison — having agreed to return. The streaming service is also said to be keen on securing Emily Atack to reprise her role as Charlotte "Big Jugs" Hinchcliffe.
The creators have reportedly written the script and are aiming to begin production, with the new film potentially airing as early as 2027. While the return of the main cast has generated excitement among fans, concerns had previously surfaced about potential recasts with younger actors. The inclusion of Atack is seen as a significant element for the project.
"The Inbetweeners," which originally aired for three seasons between 2008 and 2010, spawned two successful film spin-offs. The original series followed the misadventures of four teenage friends. For the upcoming installment, the cast members are reportedly thrilled about the prospect of returning.
However, Atack's potential involvement may face scheduling challenges due to her current commitments. She is involved in the Disney series "Rivals" and is working on a new BBC program titled "Reputation." Additionally, she is awaiting a decision on a second series of her ITV game show, "Nobody's Fool."
Atack has previously addressed the possibility of an "Inbetweeners" return, noting the age difference between herself and the male cast when filming the original series. At the time, she was 17 and had just finished school, while the male leads were in their late twenties or early thirties.
In recent personal news, Atack celebrated her hen weekend in Cannes, sharing photos from the event ahead of her September wedding to Alistair Garner. She is a mother to one son, Barney, whom she welcomed in 2025, and became engaged to Garner in July 2025.
