Neil Patrick Harris, 53, recently displayed a notably fit physique during a family outing at sea. The actor and his husband, David Burtka, 51, spent a day aboard Elton John's yacht, cruising along the South of France coast with their children.
During the excursion, Harris was seen rinsing off in an outdoor shower, dressed in swimming trunks, sunglasses, and a necklace. Burtka opted for orange swim trunks and a matching top.
The families, who have been friends for over a decade, connected over their shared experience of becoming parents around the same time. Harris recalled on The Howard Stern Show how he and Burtka confided in John's husband, David Furnish, about expecting twins via surrogacy, only for Furnish to reveal they were also expecting a child.
Harris and Burtka welcomed twins in 2010 and married four years later. The couple recently discussed their relationship with their teenage children, noting that while their kids are navigating their formative years, they are doing well. Harris expressed pride in their children's values and their ability to navigate the world with a sense of self.
Despite their children's demanding school schedules, which limit the home from becoming a constant hangout spot, Burtka shared that their children's friends consider them the "coolest parents." Harris also expressed his hope that as his children grow older, they will continue to share more with him and Burtka.
