Myleene Klass led the arrivals at the Sky Arts Awards in London on Tuesday evening, drawing attention in a sheer black lace gown as the ceremony returned to honour achievements across British and Irish arts and culture.

The 47-year-old presenter wore a low-cut dress featuring lace panels and a floaty skirt, accessorised with a chunky gold chain and a simple black clutch. The awards, hosted this year by comedian Bill Bailey, recognise contributions across 11 art forms including classical music, comedy, dance, film, literature, opera, poetry, popular music, theatre, television and visual arts.

Nominees in the music category this year include Charli XCX, Kneecap and Lola Young. Netflix’s Adolescence is among the contenders in the television category, while its star Owen Cooper is listed in the Breakthrough category. The Sky Arts Awards are presented annually and aim to showcase the range and vitality of the arts across Britain and Ireland.

A number of well-known figures from film, television and music attended the event. Anita Rani arrived in a rose-gold satin strapless gown paired with pointed black heels. Model Tigerlily Taylor posed on the carpet with her father, Queen drummer Roger Taylor, and musician and activist Bob Geldof; she wore a coral dress with knee-high black boots and carried a bright pink handbag. Actress Rose Aylign Ellis opted for a blue shirt and wide-legged black trousers. Beverley Knight appeared in a sparkly black floor-length gown, while Sir Lenny Henry and Lennie James wore suits. Tinie Tempah chose a bold patterned jacket for the evening.

Comedian Vic Reeves attended with his wife, Nancy Sorrell, who wore a red dress. Other names sighted at the ceremony included Emma Bunton, Laura Whitmore, Christine Lampard and Kate Thornton. The event brought together a cross-section of performers, presenters and industry figures, reflecting the awards’ remit to celebrate work across multiple disciplines.

Klass’s appearance at the awards came days after she and television presenter Holly Willoughby were photographed celebrating a mutual friend’s 50th birthday at an exclusive London restaurant. Social media posts from that gathering showed the pair dining with friends and sharing champagne; images accompanying those posts included Willoughby in a burgundy leather skirt and Klass in a red jumper paired with a short black skirt and tights. Media accounts from the outing noted gastronomic choices on the menu, including a watermelon and feta salad, shrimp tempura and desserts such as matcha-and-mandarine choux and a dark chocolate and shiitake crèmeux.

Bill Bailey’s role as host continues the awards’ tradition of enlisting well-known figures to present the ceremony, which seeks to highlight both established names and emerging talent. Winners in previous years have spanned disciplines and formats, from live performance to screen work and literary achievement.

The Sky Arts Awards nomination lists and winners are intended to reflect judged excellence across the listed categories. The ceremony’s organisers say the awards aim to promote public recognition of artistic achievement and to stimulate interest in a broad range of creative practice across the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Winners will be announced during the televised ceremony, which is expected to feature performances and tributes alongside the presentation of awards across the 11 categories.
