Rick Hoffman, who played Louis Litt on Suits, says he has no objections to Meghan Markle's latest venture and remains a fan of her work. In promoting his new film London Calling, Hoffman spoke with The Post about Markle and their time together on the Canada-shot legal drama, underscoring how the cast built a sense of family while filming far from home.

On set, the Suits cast formed a tight-knit group, especially when holidays rolled around and families were far away. Markle often took the lead in hosting meals, showcasing her knack for planning and cooking. Hoffman recalled a memory of trying to help by carving the turkey, only to be gently redirected by Markle over presentation concerns. The anecdotes highlight the playful dynamic that kept the ensemble close during long shoots in Canada.

Suits ran for seven seasons, and Markle departed in 2017 as her relationship with Prince Harry moved forward. She later married Harry in 2018, and the couple has two children, Archie and Lilibet. The couple stepped away from royal duties in 2020 and now live in Montecito, California, where they focus on family and selective projects.

Hoffman continues to act, starring in the action comedy London Calling alongside Josh Duhamel and Jeremy Ray Taylor. The film follows a down-on-his-luck hit man who is tasked with babysitting the son of a crime boss, a role Hoffman plays opposite Duhamel. Filming took place in Cape Town, a setting Hoffman described as stunning and otherworldly. He said director Allan Ungar encouraged subtleties in performance, from demeanor to the boss-like look achieved with a tan, and the location offered a striking backdrop for the story. The production schedule presented logistical challenges, including travel demands and a tight shooting window, but Hoffman found the experience enriching.

During production, Duhamel's wife Audra Mari was pregnant with their first child, Shepherd. Hoffman noted that Duhamel balanced the demands of filming with anticipation for the baby's arrival, aiming to complete production in time.

Even as Markle pursues non-acting projects, Hoffman remains busy on screen. He points to London Calling as a highlight of his current slate and continues to support Markle’s ongoing work. Markle has not announced an acting comeback, but her off-screen ventures, including a Netflix lifestyle series, have kept her in the public eye. The project With Love, Meghan debuted earlier this year, with Season 2 arriving on Netflix in August, extending Markle’s footprint in entertainment beyond traditional acting roles. Hoffman’s reflections provide a snapshot of lifelong colleagues adapting to new chapters in their careers, while the Suits era continues to resonate for fans of the show.
