Maya Jama recently celebrated her 32nd birthday with a lavish trip to Ibiza alongside close friends and family. The Love Island presenter documented her celebrations in a YouTube vlog titled "Ibiza, My Birthday & My Besties: Unfiltered," offering viewers a look into the "chaos" of her getaway.
In the vlog, Jama is seen striking a pose on a bar while wearing a gold bikini and black sunglasses. She expressed her tradition of spending her birthday in Ibiza with loved ones, and this year invited her audience along for the experience. "Every year I spend my birthday in Ibiza with my closest friends & family. And this time I'm bringing you along with me for the chaos!" she wrote on her social media.
The public appearance comes as Jama made her acting debut in the Netflix series "The Gentlemen." The crime drama, created by Guy Ritchie, has reached the number one spot on the streaming platform. Jama plays a character named Aisha, who is described as a "clever girl who looks after herself and others." Her character is introduced in the first episode and later connects Eddie Horniman (played by Theo James) with a wealthy royal.
Prior to her acting role, Jama was also featured at the premiere of "The Gentlemen," where she appeared in a custom leather gown. During promotional activities for the series, Jama was asked about her definition of a gentleman. She responded that while politeness and good manners are important, a modern gentleman is "a decent, well-mannered man that has their stuff under control, but knows how to treat a woman and their family and everybody in their life."
Jama's personal life update also includes her previous relationship with Manchester City star Ruben. The couple reportedly split in May after 18 months together, with sources suggesting the breakup was due to the relationship having "run its course" and both individuals focusing on their careers. The pair had moved in together just four months prior to their separation and subsequently removed traces of each other from social media.
