Margot Robbie, Bradley Cooper, and Monica Barbaro have been photographed on the set of an untitled Ocean's Eleven prequel, marking the first images from the production. The film is set in the 1960s and is reportedly focused on the parents of Danny Ocean.
Robbie, 36, was seen wearing an elegant white midi dress while filming in Paris. Cooper, 51, who is also serving as writer and director for the project, appeared focused on set. Barbaro, 36, was pictured in a blue, 1960s-inspired power suit and white shirt. The film's production began in Paris.
This prequel is expected to explore events surrounding the 1963 Monaco Grand Prix, with Cooper and Robbie portraying the parents of the titular character. Cooper took over writing and directing duties after Lee Isaac Chung stepped down earlier this year.
Other cast members attached to the project include Vicky Krieps, George MacKay, Jack Holden, Lauren Ridloff, Omar Sy, Wagner Moura, and Josh Gad. Margot Robbie has been involved with the project since 2022, with initial reports suggesting Ryan Gosling would also be part of the cast, though his involvement is now unclear.
Producer Josey McNamara previously shared excitement for the project, stating, "I think we're just trying to do right by the franchise. I'm excited for people to experience it when it's ready."
The Ocean's franchise began with the 2001 film starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Julia Roberts. Subsequent films include Ocean's 12, Ocean's 13, and the 2018 female-led spin-off Ocean's 8. The original inspiration for the film series came from the 1960 film of the same name, which featured Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and Dean Martin.
