Singer Lizzo marked "Fat Liberation Month" with a series of photos on Instagram, showcasing her figure in a metallic pink bikini over the weekend. The 38-year-old artist posted a poolside snapshot of herself wearing a triangle bikini top and matching bottoms.

"Happy Fat Liberation Month," Lizzo captioned her post, adding a call to action for other women. She also shared additional photos on her Instagram Story.

This recent display comes months after she celebrated her 38th birthday, where she also highlighted her transformed physique. Lizzo has previously spoken about her health journey, including her struggles with binge eating, in an interview with Women's Health UK in August 2025. At that time, she stated she had been on a weight loss journey for over a year and had lost approximately 60 pounds through diet and exercise.

"There were times when I would eat so much that my stomach hurt," Lizzo recalled, describing how she would hide her eating habits and feel uncomfortable after meals. She contrasted her past behavior with her current feelings of pride in her appearance and health.

"I would hide it. I had so much food noise and connected so much emotion to food," she explained. "If I was sad, anxious, stressed or working a lot, I would snack and just eat constantly." She also detailed instances of ordering multiple meals and desserts secretly.

Lizzo emphasized that her current perspective on body positivity is not about maintaining a static size. "I like how I look now. I still think I'm big. I'm still wearing plus-size clothing. I have the same rolls. I got the same belly, the same thighs – I think I'm just a smaller version," she said. "Body positivity has nothing to do with staying the same. Body positivity is the radical act of daring to exist loudly and proudly in a society that told you you shouldn't exist."
