Lindy Klim and her daughter Stella have revealed a mother-daughter confrontation that unfolded while filming The Amazing Race Australia, and a new trailer for the series shows the pair in tears and claiming they had "panic attacks" during the race's early legs.

The 45-year-old model and her 19-year-old daughter told Woman's Day they had "that one fight" while filming, with Stella saying she yelled at her mother when she felt unwell and Lindy initially responding, "Was there?" Stella told the magazine the argument occurred after Lindy declined to help when she was sick and added that her voice might not have been heard because she was "really far away." Lindy also expressed concern about how she might be perceived by viewers, saying she worried about "coming off as ditzy."

A trailer released ahead of the Channel 10 premiere depicts the duo describing themselves as "princesses" and reacting with shock and dismay to accommodation described in the footage as a 10-bedroom dorm. The clip shows Lindy and Stella discovering "mouldy mattresses," followed by shots of the pair crying beside thin beds. Lindy is shown saying, "I can't," and "Are you serious?" and later shouting, "I'm having a panic attack!" She is also shown telling the camera, "It's literally my worst nightmare," before adding, "I think I'm not being that much of a princess."

Klim shared the trailer to her personal Instagram account, writing, "Watch me have a panic attack," and encouraged followers to tune in for the show's first episode. The Amazing Race Australia returns to Network Ten on Monday night at 7:30 p.m., with Klim and Stella among the teams competing.

The revelations and trailer follow Klim's move back to Melbourne from Bali late last year after her separation from husband Adam Ellis. In recent months Klim documented aspects of her family life on social media, including a post in July showing the family eating from a cardboard box before she purchased a dining table and chairs. She described the change as "slumming it" following the move and the split.

Producers of the long-running reality series often highlight interpersonal dynamics and moments of high emotion as teams navigate travel, tasks and unexpected living conditions. Klim and Stella's comments and the preview footage suggest their relationship and reactions will be a focus of viewers' attention when the season begins. The pair's on-screen behaviour, as represented in the trailer and in interviews, is presented by the participants themselves and promoted by the network ahead of broadcast.
