Lily Allen was spotted in New York City on Wednesday, flashing a glimpse of her midriff in a white crop top as she steps out amid plans to move out of her New York townhouse and start a new chapter following marriage troubles. The 40-year-old singer carried on with a casual, chic look, pairing the crop top with baggy, low-rise blue jeans and a cropped grey Miu Miu fleece jacket.
Allen flashed a glimpse of white lace underwear beneath the crop top, paired with chunky white trainers and a brown suede shoulder bag. Black cat-eye sunglasses and a messy, stylish updo completed the look.
Her outing comes as Allen is preparing to move out of her New York townhouse, described as part of starting anew after her marriage woes.
Allen and Harbour moved into the Brooklyn art deco townhouse in 2020, shortly after their Las Vegas wedding, with the property later featured in Architectural Digest. Their separation was confirmed in January, with reports that Harbour had cheated on the singer.
In March, on her Miss Me? podcast, Lily discussed buying an ex-council flat in London to live in with her two daughters. She described the building as in an area she grew up in, a 'get out' clause to avoid feeling she was intruding or gentrifying. She explained that the flat is in a social housing building, and that this arrangement helps her stay connected to her roots.
In May, she described feeling incredibly low and lonely in her New York City home after the breakup, saying she felt extremely heavy because she didn't have much to do.
Allen's separation also followed reports she had suspected Harbour of cheating on the dating app Raya. She reportedly joined Raya herself, posing as someone looking for women, and allegedly found that Harbour had a secret profile that had been active for at least a month.
The outing underscores a public-facing chapter of Allen’s life as she navigates single parenthood while pursuing personal and professional projects.
