Leonardo DiCaprio led star-studded arrivals at the world premiere of One Battle After Another at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday, accompanied by his girlfriend, model Vittoria Ceretti. DiCaprio, 50, arrived in a fitted black suit and white shirt; Ceretti, 27, attended but did not pose alongside him on the red carpet.
The premiere drew a wide array of cast members and Hollywood figures, including Benicio del Toro, Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Adrien Brody and Gwendoline Christie, among others.
Ceretti wore an elegant white draped gown with a thigh-high slit and side cutouts, and was seen taking photographs of fans from the sidelines. Del Toro, who plays Sensei Sergio in the film, attended in a black suit and silk tie and greeted co-star Sean Penn on arrival. Taylor, who plays Perfidia, wore an off-the-shoulder leather ensemble with long gloves and platform boots. Regina Hall appeared in a flowing beige gown with a corseted bodice. Newcomer Chase Infiniti, who portrays Willa, was also on the carpet in a champagne satin gown embellished with beading.
Other attendees included Adrien Brody, who posed with a red-carpet prop phonebox; Gwendoline Christie in a baby blue silk dress; Billy Zane; singer-actress Dove Cameron; Dita Von Teese; Emmanuelle Chriqui; John C. Reilly, who arrived with his wife Alison Dickey; Ron Perlman; and Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Ceretti has spoken publicly about the attention her relationship with DiCaprio attracts. In March she told Vogue France she found being reduced to "Leonardo DiCaprio's girlfriend" "extremely annoying," referring to him as a "very, very famous movie star" while declining to adopt a public label for the relationship. The pair first sparked romance reports in August 2023 after an ice-cream outing in Santa Barbara and DiCaprio was later seen supporting her at Milan Fashion Week. Media photographs have occasionally shown Ceretti with a ring on her left hand, but sources have said the couple is not engaged.
One Battle After Another is an adaptation of Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel Vineland. The film was written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, his first feature since Licorice Pizza (2021), and carries a reported production budget of more than $130 million. DiCaprio plays Bob Ferguson, described in studio materials as a disheveled, distraught revolutionary living off-grid with his daughter, Willa. The plot follows Ferguson as he reconnects with former allies on a mission to track down his daughter. Benicio del Toro’s character serves as a mentor figure, Sean Penn plays Col. Steven J. Lockjaw, an adversary to DiCaprio’s character, and Regina Hall appears as fellow revolutionary Deandra.
The film mixes elements of thriller and black comedy and had been slated for release on Aug. 8 before the studio moved its release date to Sept. 26. The premiere at TCL Chinese Theatre was among the largest public showcases for the film ahead of its theatrical release, with cast members and other industry figures using the event to promote the project and engage with fans on the red carpet.
