Reality star Lauren Goodger has shared that she experienced two miscarriages with ex-partner Charlie Drury after the death of their second daughter, Lorena, in July 2022. Lorena passed away minutes after birth due to complications with her umbilical cord. Goodger, who also has a four-year-old daughter, Larose, with Drury, is set to release a book detailing her experiences.
In a recent interview, Goodger described her relationship with Drury after Lorena's death as a "toxic, trauma bond." She revealed that just five days after their baby died, Drury told her he no longer loved her. Goodger also shared that she suffered from panic attacks and suicidal thoughts, stating, "If it wasn't for Larose I can honestly say I wouldn't be here."
Despite their separation, Goodger became pregnant with Drury's child twice more, experiencing miscarriages both times. The couple ultimately separated for good in 2024 and are now co-parenting their daughter. Goodger expressed a desire for another child in the future, considering options like a sperm donor or adoption if she were single.
Goodger detailed the tragic circumstances of Lorena's birth, recalling how she was rushed to hospital when her midwife could not detect a heartbeat. After her waters broke on July 6, 2022, initial checks showed the unborn child was low risk. However, on the third day, with contractions beginning, the heartbeat was no longer detectable, leading to her transfer to the hospital.
Doctors attempted to save Lorena for two hours following her birth, but their efforts were unsuccessful. Goodger is releasing her book, "Mum Of Two: Love, Loss and My Life on TOWIE," in July, aiming to help others who have experienced similar loss. She stated she couldn't find a helpful book after her own loss and hopes her story of grief, courage, and strength will offer support to others. She emphasized her determination to remain strong for her daughter Larose.
