Pregnant television presenter Laura Woods showcased her baby bump while hosting ITV's coverage of the World Cup semi-final on Tuesday. Woods, 38, who is expecting her second child with fiancé Adam Collard, quipped that the "baby doesn’t know how lucky they are" to witness the match, which saw Spain defeat France 2-1.
Woods presented the broadcast from Dallas Stadium, wearing a grey ribbed T-shirt dress that highlighted her pregnancy. Her ensemble included grey Adidas trainers and a silver necklace. She shared a photo on social media with the caption, "World Cup Semi Final, this baby doesn’t know how lucky they are."
Laura Woods and Adam Collard, who rose to fame on Love Island, are already parents to 18-month-old son Leo. The couple began dating in October 2023 and became engaged in September 2024.
Previously, Woods has spoken openly about experiencing a miscarriage. She shared that she was 11 weeks pregnant when she miscarried and became pregnant again a month later, leading to the birth of Leo. Collard recently discussed the miscarriage on an episode of Celebrity SAS, describing the difficult period they endured.
Woods commented on the emotional complexity of grieving a lost child while cherishing their son Leo, stating, "Sometimes I look at Leo and I think of the baby we'll never meet, while also knowing we wouldn't have Leo without it happening."
In December of the previous year, Woods experienced a health scare during ITV4's coverage of a Lionesses match against Ghana, where she collapsed live on air. Colleagues Ian Wright and Anita Asante assisted her before cameras cut away. She later confirmed she was well, attributing the incident to a suspected virus and advising rest and hydration. Woods expressed embarrassment over the on-air collapse but thanked her ITV colleagues and co-presenters for their support.
