Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock continued their press tour for "Practical Magic 2" in London on Thursday, attending a photocall at Claridge's hotel. The actresses, who reprise their roles as witch sisters Sally and Gillian Owens, appeared together in matching black outfits.
Kidman, 59, wore an elegant pearl-strapped minidress, while Bullock, 62, opted for a black lace blazer dress paired with a satin cream skirt and neck scarf. The on-screen sisters were seen holding hands on the red carpet.
They were joined by castmates Maisie Williams and Joey King, who play the next generation of Owens sisters. Williams, 29, wore a black gown, and King, 27, sported a crochet ensemble. Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest, who played the eccentric aunts in the original film, also attended the event.
The sequel, set 25 years after the original 1998 film, is adapted from Alice Hoffman's 2021 story "The Book of Magic." The plot follows the Owens women as they unite to confront the source of their magic and protect the next generation.
Kidman confirmed in 2024 that she and Bullock would be reprising their roles. The film also features Lee Pace and Solly McLeod, with the roles of Sandra's daughters recast from the original movie. Evan Rachel Wood and Alexandra Artrip, who played Sally's younger daughters in the 1998 film, did not return for the sequel.
"Practical Magic 2" is scheduled to be released in theaters on September 11. The original film, which earned $68.3 million globally against a $75 million budget, has since become a cult classic. Earlier in July, Kidman and Bullock surprised fans by attending a Cinespia screening of the original "Practical Magic" in Los Angeles.
Some online commentary noted Kidman's red carpet behavior at a previous premiere as reminiscent of her past public displays with ex-husband Keith Urban, while others praised the actresses' presence, calling it "magic."
