Kate Hudson, 46, stepped onto the red carpet in a yellow satin gown at the Warner Bros. Television Group's Emmy Awards Nominees Celebration in Los Angeles on Saturday, drawing notice for an ensemble that echoed a look from her 2003 film How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

The fitted gown, which clung to Hudson's frame, invited comparisons to the dress worn by her character Andie Anderson in the rom-com opposite Matthew McConaughey. Hudson arrived at the event ahead of the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards, scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 14.

Hudson’s hair was parted in the middle and styled in loose curls that fell past her shoulders. She carried a silver clutch, wore closed-toe pumps and kept accessories minimal with small silver earrings. Her makeup included mascara, light eye shadow, a touch of pink blush and a rosy lip tint. Photographers captured several brief posed shots as she moved along the carpet.

The appearance follows a series of recent public outings in which Hudson has showcased her physique in swimwear. The yellow satin look rekindled associations with the early-2000s theatrical wardrobe that accompanied How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, a commercial hit that helped define Hudson’s profile in romantic comedy.

The Warner Bros. Television Group event brought together nominees and industry figures in advance of the televised Emmy ceremony. The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards will honor achievements in U.S. television programming from the previous season and are set to be presented Sunday evening in Los Angeles.
