Country music star Kane Brown was recently hospitalized after being struck in the head by a golf ball traveling at an estimated 150 to 180 miles per hour.
Brown shared details of the incident on social media, posting photos that showed his injured ear and subsequent stitches. "I'm alive and that's all that matters," he stated, expressing relief that the situation was not more severe. He confirmed that he received medical attention for a split ear and swelling.
In a TikTok video, Brown explained that the errant shot came from a friend on the golf course. "It was my own buddy. I ain’t going to name any names. He feels terrible, but he needs to know that I’m good," Brown said. He further elaborated that the ball was a "three-wood slice" and occurred shortly after their drives had been hit.
His wife, Katelyn, provided additional information, noting that the golf ball was not one that had been in the air for an extended period, reducing its momentum. She shared that CT scans revealed no internal injuries or skull fractures, with the primary issues being external injuries and a minor concussion. This news brought significant relief to the couple.
Due to the injury, Brown was unable to perform at the Tight End University concert in Nashville on Tuesday, June 23.
