Kaia Gerber attended the London premiere of FX’s new series “The Shards” on Thursday, wearing a sheer black Fendi Couture gown. The off-the-runway design featured a plunging neckline and cascading ruffles, with the sheer fabric revealing Gerber’s black thong.

Gerber, who also stars in the series, accessorized the look with small climbing hoop earrings from Jessica McCormack and a diamond ring. Her hair was styled in a loose, wavy updo reminiscent of 1990s trends. The premiere also saw co-stars Graham Campbell, Igby Rigney, Hayes Warner, and Homer Gere in coordinating all-black ensembles.

The series “The Shards” is set in the 1980s and is based on Bret Easton Ellis's horror novel of the same name. Gerber noted the importance of hair in creating the characters for the show, stating that the 1980s offered significant opportunities for bold styles.

This fashion choice follows Gerber’s recent appearances in understated, elegant black dresses, including one at an event earlier this month that evoked the style of Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. She and her mother, Cindy Crawford, also wore LBDs to a wedding event earlier in the month. ![Graham Campbell, Kaia Gerber, Igby Rigney, Hayes Warner and Homer Gere attend the Disney+ London screening of FX's "The Shards".]( "Graham Campbell, Kaia Gerber, Igby Rigney, Hayes Warner and Homer Gere attend the Disney+ London screening of FX's "The Shards".")
