Kaia Gerber has shared her feelings about being frequently compared to her supermodel mother, Cindy Crawford. While Gerber finds the comparisons flattering, she stated that she does not believe she resembles Crawford.
"In all seriousness, it's an honor when people tell me I look like my mom. I wish I did. I think even on my best days, I'm not even close," Gerber said in an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment. "But it means so much to me. I think she's just the most beautiful woman inside and out."
Gerber, who has followed her mother into the fashion and acting industries, referred to herself as a "nepo baby." She recently starred in a show with Homer Gere, the son of Crawford's first husband, actor Richard Gere.
Kaia and Homer Gere recently appeared together at the premiere of their new series, "The Shards," which was co-created by Bret Easton Ellis. Their joint appearance evoked memories of their famous parents, who were married from 1991 to 1995. Cindy Crawford was 22 when she married Richard Gere, who was 37 at the time. Crawford later reflected that their age difference contributed to their marital difficulties.
"I think a lot of what happened with Richard and I was that I was still 22 and at 22 - as a young woman - I was kind of still figuring out who I was and what I wanted to be and he was already 37," she said in a 2013 interview. "So in some ways, he knew that I was still growing and changing. I just didn't want to hear it from him because at 22 you think you know everything."
Crawford later married businessman Rande Gerber, with whom she has two children: Kaia and Presley, 27. Gere has a son, Homer, 26, from his marriage to actress Carey Lowell. Gere is currently married to Spanish publicist Alejandra Silva.
Gerber is currently in a relationship with Lewis Pullman, son of actor Bill Pullman. Homer Gere has kept his personal life private. "The Shards" is based on Ellis's 2023 novel of the same name and debuted on FX and Hulu on August 5.
