Kacey Musgraves has released a new music video for her song "Mexico Honey," which features the artist stripping down and embracing a rustic setting. The video, filmed in Mexico and directed by the duo Running Bear, showcases Musgraves in a rainforest and a karaoke bar, among other scenes.
"Mexico Honey" is featured on Musgraves' sixth album, "Middle of Nowhere," released in April. The album includes collaborations with artists such as Miranda Lambert and Willie Nelson.
The video opens with a close-up of Musgraves singing lyrics that include, "I'm in a bad girl good mood, wearing my gold hoops lining in my lips right now in the rearview." Later, she is seen with a cowboy, driving to a karaoke bar where she performs in a pair of pink shorts. The narrative progresses with scenes of the couple kissing, showering together, and relaxing in bed, accompanied by lyrics like "You got me shaking my a** in my hot pink shorts / You’re laying down on the bathroom floor."
