Jonathan Taylor Thomas, 44, recently reunited with two of his "Home Improvement" co-stars, Patricia Richardson and Taran Noah Smith, in a rare photograph. Richardson, who portrayed the boys' mother, Jill Taylor, on the popular sitcom from 1991 to 1999, posted the selfie to Instagram.
The image shows Richardson, 75, smiling between Thomas, who played Randy Taylor, and Smith, who played Mark Taylor. "My other boys ❤️," Richardson captioned the post.
Zachery Ty Bryan, who played the third Taylor son, Brad Taylor, was not present in the photo. Bryan is currently serving jail time related to a felony DUI charge from 2024.
Fans of the show reacted enthusiastically to the reunion, with many expressing a desire for Thomas to make a comeback. Comments included "This is a total flashback. … It’s great that you’re still in touch," and "JTT to make a comeback."
Thomas stepped away from the public eye in the early 2000s, explaining in a 2013 interview that he wanted to pursue education and travel. He noted at the time that he did not take fame too seriously and that his time on the show, while a significant period, did not define him. He also mentioned enjoying movies, hiking, and theater.
Thomas began his acting career in a "Brady Bunch" spinoff before voicing Young Simba in "The Lion King" and starring in other films. However, he is most widely recognized for his role on "Home Improvement."
