Jesy Nelson is reportedly in advanced negotiations to join the upcoming series of "I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!" The singer, 35, is said to be in discussions for a six-figure contract to participate in the show, which is filmed in the Australian jungle.
Sources indicate that show bosses hope Nelson will use the platform to speak about her reasons for leaving the girl group Little Mix in 2020 after nine years. Nelson had previously announced in January 2026 that her twin daughters, Ocean and Story, were diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Her participation in "I'm A Celebrity" could provide a significant platform to raise awareness for the muscle-wasting disease.
"Jesy has been negotiating with ITV for weeks and now the talks are at a very promising stage," a source told The Sun. "For Jesy, doing I’m A Celebrity would be a huge boost for her professionally as well as personally. Continuing to raise awareness around SMA for her girls is something Jesy is very keen to do, and she knows she can use a platform like I’m A Celebrity to reach millions."
The insider also suggested that Nelson is a fan of the show and would welcome the opportunity for the public to see a different side of her. While the prospect of being away from her daughters for three weeks would be challenging, the source added that she "wants to make them proud."
ITV executives are reportedly enthusiastic about the progress of negotiations and are hopeful Nelson will sign a contract soon. Representatives for ITV and Nelson have been contacted for comment.
Nelson's tenure in Little Mix ended abruptly in 2020, and relationships with former bandmates have been strained. In June, Perrie Edwards stated that she had cut ties with Nelson, describing her as "difficult" and indicating that a reconciliation was unlikely due to past hurt.
Nelson recently made her relationship with boyfriend Ben Davies Instagram official. The couple attended the National Television Awards together, where Nelson was nominated in the Authored Documentary category. She had previously shared photos from the event, with Davies seen sitting beside her in the audience.
