Jeremy London, known for his roles in "7th Heaven" and "Party of Five," has refuted claims of homelessness following an alarming social media post where he appeared to be seeking help for a job and housing. The 54-year-old actor stated that his situation was "blown out of proportion" and that he has a condo in Florida.
London initially posted that he might lose his job and home due to a "mental crisis" his boss was experiencing. "If anyone has a job and home for me out there, please let me know," he wrote, adding that he was experiencing breathing difficulties and lack of sleep. He also expressed concern that his boss might be having a manic episode.
He later deleted the post and clarified his circumstances, assuring fans that he was not "destitute." London explained that he was in shock over his boss's behavior and did not want to leave Pennsylvania, where he had apparently found himself enjoying the area. He criticized celebrity news outlets for reporting on his personal plea.
"Being a celebrity of any kind is so stupid. Our tweets should not be news," London commented. He further stated, "I promise you this was blown out of proportion. I have a condo in Florida. I just didn’t want to leave PA because I fell in love with it."
London rose to fame in the 1990s with roles in "I'll Fly Away," "Mallrats," and "Party of Five." He later portrayed Chandler Hampton in "7th Heaven" from 2002 to 2004. The actor has had several publicized personal struggles and legal issues throughout his career, including arrests for domestic violence in 2004 and 2018.
