Chef Jamie Oliver announced the engagement of his eldest daughter, Poppy Honey Oliver, on Instagram. The 24-year-old is set to marry her boyfriend of five years, Ben Newman.
Oliver shared the news on Wednesday, posting pictures of the proposal which took place on a beach at sunset. "Probably one of my favourite reels so far. Our first baby Poppy Honey is getting married," Oliver wrote on social media. "We are so excited, proud and happy. Ben we all adore you."
He recounted how he had seen Poppy and Ben interact when she moved into her second house at university, noting, "5 years later you had met you soul mate. so excited for the next chapter love you xxx". Oliver and his wife, Jools, have five children: Poppy Honey, Daisy Boo, Petal Blossom, Buddy, and River.
