James Acaster, the comedian and star of the BBC’s ‘Celebrity Traitors,’ was seen publicly for the first time on Saturday since his abrupt departure from the show’s semi-final. Acaster was photographed grabbing a coffee following his unexpected unmasking as a Traitor and subsequent absence from the spin-off show, ‘Uncloaked.’

During the show’s tense round table discussions, Acaster revealed his identity as a Traitor, a move that led to his elimination. He stated that he was reluctantly a Traitor and that a "weight has been lifted off his shoulders" after revealing his identity.

Insiders told the Daily Mail that the pressure of the game had become too much for Acaster, stating, "The pressure got to him, and it was clear he was finding it difficult. Everyone agreed filming should be stopped before things got too heated."

Acaster, who has spoken publicly about his autism diagnosis, has received support from co-stars and friends following his exit. Some viewers, however, criticized his decision to reveal himself as a Traitor just one episode before the finale, with some feeling he had "ruined" the game.

Acaster also shared an anecdote about an unaired confrontation with Jerry Hall, who he said had correctly identified him as a Traitor. He recalled telling Hall, "I think it might be me as well, Jerry," in an exchange that did not make it into the final edit of the show.

Additionally, Acaster revealed that much of his dialogue during the round table discussions was cut from the broadcast. He explained that producers often omit his contributions to maintain suspense regarding the Traitors' voting strategies.
