An intense feud between two South Australian influencers, Alex Paige Moore and Matilda Baxter, has spilled onto social media platforms, revealing accusations of betrayal, false rumors, and legal threats. The rift between the former best friends, who were close from 2021 to 2024, became public in May.

Alex Paige Moore, 28, initiated the public airing of their dispute with a TikTok video addressing rumors about her, including baseless claims of undergoing intimate surgery. Moore stated her motivation for the video was to reach those who had heard the false rumors and to correct the record. She also alleged that Baxter, also known as 'Tilds Search' and founder of the swimwear label Tildssearch, was an unreliable friend, particularly during difficult times.

Moore recounted an instance in January 2024 when Baxter allegedly withdrew support for a planned surgery after initially agreeing to assist. Moore shared a voice note from Baxter apologizing for not being present, in which Baxter said, "I feel fing like a bh." According to Moore, Baxter later claimed Moore was the one who failed to provide support when Baxter underwent breast augmentation surgery.

The situation escalated when Moore became aware of a rumor concerning intimate surgery, and she claims to have evidence suggesting Baxter was aware of this gossip. Moore shared screenshots of messages indicating a conversation with someone who stated they had discussed the rumor with Baxter.

Moore also alleged that other untrue whispers circulated about her, including claims regarding her parenting, income, not crediting collaborators, and her appearance. She stated these rumors negatively impacted her career and led to lost brand deals.

Following the breakdown of their friendship, Baxter reportedly demanded Moore remove her video detailing the allegations. Moore initially agreed, based on assurances that Baxter would also remove damaging content about Moore. However, Moore claims Baxter subsequently posted a new TikTok video naming her and calling her a liar, while also blocking Moore from seeing her content.

Moore stated that Baxter claimed to have served her with defamation papers, but Moore asserts this did not materialize beyond a lawyer's email. Moore refuted Baxter's alleged claims that she sought attention or likes through her video.

When contacted by the Daily Mail, Baxter's boyfriend, Alessandro, responded on her behalf. He requested that the publication not publish any story regarding the matter, stating it had been affecting Baxter and that they hoped for understanding. He declined to comment further on the specifics of the dispute.
