Helena Christensen recently reunited with Susie Hutchence, the stepmother of her late former boyfriend Michael Hutchence, during a visit to Sydney.
The Danish supermodel, 57, and Susie Hutchence, who was married to the INXS frontman's father, Kelland Hutchence, shared a selfie from a Sydney beach. The reunion comes nearly 29 years after Michael Hutchence's death.
Christensen and the elder Hutchence have maintained a close relationship with Michael's family since the singer's death in 1997 at the age of 37. Christensen and Hutchence dated from 1991 to 1995. In a tribute on Michael Hutchence's memorial website, Christensen revealed the continued connection: "They became really good friends with my family, and we've been to see them a lot since."
Christensen described Hutchence as a sensitive, passionate, and charismatic man, recalling one of their best conversations occurring just five days before his death. Susie Hutchence has also continued to honor her stepson's legacy, posting tributes on his memorial website. On the 28th anniversary of his death last November, she wrote, "Always loved, never forgotten."
Christensen's Sydney visit coincides with her attendance at Australia's spring racing carnival, where she was seen at Derby Day in Melbourne.
