Helena Bonham Carter, 60, was seen on a stroll with her boyfriend, art historian Rye Dag Holmboe, 38, in Hampstead, London. The couple, who have been together since 2018, walked their dogs during the outing.

Bonham Carter wore a green patterned long-sleeved blouse with a red floral mid skirt, a dark green cardigan, chunky trainers, sunglasses, and a pink scarf tied in her hair. Holmboe opted for a light blue shirt, blue shorts, and Birkenstock sandals.

Bonham Carter has been open about her views on marriage, stating that she cannot make the promise of being with someone forever because she believes it is not a healthy commitment. "I mean, we're not meant to be forever," she said in December. "And I've never actually gotten married because I can't say those [words], I can't honestly make that promise because I just don't think it's a healthy one."

The couple met at a wedding in 2018 and moved in together in 2021. Bonham Carter described their meeting as a "totally random thing" and a "really happy accident."

Addressing the 22-year age gap between them, Bonham Carter told The Times that her boyfriend is "unbelievably mature" and an "old soul in a young body." She added that he is not frightened of older women, who she believes can be very powerful.

The actress, who has been dating the art historian, since 2018, showed off her kooky fashion sense for the outing as the couple walked their dogs

Bonham Carter previously ended her 13-year relationship with director Tim Burton in 2014. They share two children, Billy, 22, and Nell, 18. The actress has since shared a home with Holmboe and adopted house rabbits.

Reflecting on her past relationship with Burton, Bonham Carter hinted in 2020 that while she was "reluctant" to end it, "some parts of divorce are recommended," describing the "cruelty" but also periods of relief.

The star explained she will never tie the knot because she can't make an 'unhealthy' promise to be with someone forever

She also suggested that her ability to relate to Princess Margaret's public breakup may have influenced her casting in "The Crown." While she did not disclose the specific reasons for her split from Burton, she stated, "I didn't leave, put it that way."
