Hannah Waddingham, known for her role as AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Welton in the Apple TV series "Ted Lasso," made a striking appearance at the show's season four screening on Wednesday. The actress, 52, was photographed at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, sporting a brown lycra one-shoulder dress.
Waddingham posed alongside her co-stars, including Faye Marsay, Annette Badland, Jude Mack, and Abbie Hern.
Season four of "Ted Lasso" is scheduled to premiere on August 5. The upcoming season will follow football coach Ted as he returns to Richmond to manage a second-division women's football team. The trailer for the new season, released on Wednesday, has generated excitement among viewers, particularly with its tease of an unfinished romance that appears to be rekindled.
Fans have expressed hope for the potential reunion of characters Keeley Jones, played by Juno Temple, and Roy Kent, portrayed by Brett Goldstein. The trailer depicts the pair exchanging loving glances and sharing a close embrace, leading to an outpouring of fan reactions on social media. Comments included sentiments like, "Why am I crying? We need this tiny speck of joy in the world right now!" and "Keeley and Roy being back is what love is!"
The series has been instrumental in Waddingham's rise to prominence. In addition to her career success, Waddingham has also found a new romantic partner. She is reportedly dating Nick Beresford-Cleary, a consultant spine surgeon. This marks her first relationship since her long-term partnership with Gianluca Cugnetto ended eight years ago.
Waddingham, a mother to 11-year-old daughter Kitty, previously prioritized her personal life and motherhood before re-entering the dating scene. In May, she shared in an interview with Women's Health UK that it had taken her eight years to feel ready for a new relationship, stating she hadn't had the mental or emotional space for it. She described her new partner as "very good looking" and "really lovely," emphasizing her current state of happiness and personal strength.
Beresford-Cleary is a consultant spine surgeon with a specialization in spinal surgeries at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and King Edward VII Hospital. His medical background includes a degree from Edinburgh University and specialist training in Oxford, with further fellowships in Oxford, Vancouver, and an academic attachment in New York. He initially pursued a degree in mechanical engineering before transitioning to medicine.
