Halle Berry embraced her 60th birthday with a series of striking images shared on Instagram. The actress, known for her roles in "X-Men" and "Monster's Ball," posted the photos on Thursday, the day before her birthday.
In the accompanying caption, Berry wrote, "Today….don’t give a f---!" The photos featured her in a black robe adorned with large red floral designs and lace detailing along the edges and sleeves. The robe was loosely tied, revealing a plunging neckline.
Some images captured Berry enjoying chocolate-covered strawberries, while others showed her relaxing on a daybed. She also shared a photo with her fiancé, Van Hunt, kissing while lounging outdoors.
On Friday, Berry expressed gratitude for the birthday wishes, posting a picture holding a card that read "Happy 60th." She captioned it, "Thank you from my ❤️ for all the birthday love and well wishes. I’m grateful to still be here!!"
Berry and Hunt's relationship began during the COVID-19 pandemic. In a January 2022 interview with AARP: The Magazine, Berry shared that they connected by talking on the phone for four months before meeting in person. She noted that this method allowed their minds to connect before any physical involvement, leading her to fall in love with his mind and conversation.
The couple first sparked romance rumors in July 2020. Berry confirmed their relationship in September of that year by posting an Instagram photo of herself wearing a T-shirt with Hunt's name on it. They have since been seen together on red carpets and frequently appear on each other's social media.
Hunt revealed he proposed in June 2025, though Berry did not publicly confirm their engagement until February 2026. Berry told "Today" in June 2025 that while they plan to marry, it is not out of obligation but a desire for that form of expression. She added, "I think we will get married just because, out of the people I’ve been married to, this is the person I should have married."
Berry has been married three times previously: to David Justice from 1993 to 1997, Eric Benét from 2001 to 2005, and Olivier Martinez from 2013 to 2015. Her divorce from Martinez was finalized in 2023.
