Gia Giudice is speaking out about what she described as an "embarrassing" and "calculated" situation involving her mother, Teresa Giudice, and fellow reality star Ava Dash. Dash had claimed that Teresa unfollowed her on Instagram, a notion Gia strongly refutes.

"I don't know why you would even bring that up. I think it's a little embarrassing," Gia Giudice told Decider. "I do not think that's something that my mother would ever intentionally do, and there was just no [malicious] intention behind it. So, I thought the whole thing was very weird and calculated, in my opinion. I just didn't see the point of it."

According to Giudice, both she and her mother were unaware of Dash's claims until they were brought up. She explained that her mother, who she says "barely knows how to work technology," had no idea about the alleged Instagram unfollowing. "The second I told my mom about it, she was like, ‘Oh, my God, what?’ She had no idea," Gia said.

Giudice confirmed that Teresa Giudice and Ava Dash are currently following each other on the social media platform. She added that Dash eventually realized her error and felt "a little foolish" for making it an issue.

Beyond the social media dispute, Gia Giudice is also opening up about her personal life in the second season of "Next Gen NYC." She shared that viewers will see her move into her own apartment, a significant step towards her growing independence. She also discussed her relationship with her boyfriend, Christian, and their plans for the future.

"This whole chapter of my life, it was really me initiating that I wanted to move out, and he saw that, and he wanted me to do that independently for myself, which was, honestly, I think the best thing for me and our relationship," Giudice explained. She anticipates they may move in together within the year.

The reality star also addressed the short-lived breakup between castmates Ariana Biermann and Hudson McLeroy, asserting that it was a necessary step for their relationship to regain independence. She also commented on the addition of Rowan Henchy, daughter of Brooke Shields, to the cast, describing her as having "positive energy" and a "humorous personality."

Regarding her mother's return to "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," Gia Giudice expressed optimism about Teresa Giudice and her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga filming together. "I think they're really going into the season as a united front," she said. "I think there really is just nothing to fight about anymore, without really bringing up the past, and that's something that they're not doing. The only way that they were able to make this [reconciliation] worth it and last was to let go of the past."
