Georgina Rodríguez, fiancée of soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, has publicly addressed online criticism regarding her body shape. In a series of holiday photos posted to Instagram on August 4, Rodríguez shared a message asserting her self-acceptance and challenging societal beauty standards.

Rodríguez, 32, acknowledged that her appearance often becomes a topic of discussion each summer. "My body will change, just as all women’s bodies do. And I hope it continues to do so for many years, because that will mean I am still living," she wrote, according to Instagram’s translation from Spanish. She admitted that the comments can be hurtful and lead to self-doubt, questioning the origin and validity of perceived beauty standards. "Who decides what the ‘right’ body is? Do we really still think happiness has a size?" she asked.

She emphasized that her exercise routine is driven by personal happiness and passion, not external pressure. Rodríguez, who has five children, stated her desire to impart positive lessons about body image to her daughters. "The value of a person can never depend on a physicist or on the opinion of strangers," she wrote. She shared a conversation with Ronaldo, who reassured her against worrying about online comments, telling her, "You don’t live by your image. You live by what you are. A perfect woman. Beautiful, with a great body, mother, good person, successful and living life with love."

Rodríguez concluded her message by expressing love for her own body and its capabilities. "I love my curves. I love the freedom to live in the body I choose. In the body that holds me, that has allowed me to embrace, create life, fall and rise again,” she stated. "A body deserving of respect, love and gratitude in all its versions."
