Atkinson, 41, posted from the Ritz Carlton in Abama, highlighting the necessity of what she described as "mental rest." The holiday included her fiancé Gorka Márquez, 35, and their two children, Mia and Thiago.
In her post, Atkinson reflected on the trip, stating, "The last 2 and a half weeks have flown by." She added, "A mental rest & switch off was definitely needed. More than I realised." Atkinson acknowledged a period of intense work, expressing gratitude for professional opportunities while underscoring the value of family time and memory-making.
Atkinson’s vacation concluded shortly after a discussion with Márquez on their podcast about kitchen organization. The couple reportedly debated the arrangement of pans in their cupboards, with Atkinson expressing mild frustration over Márquez’s attention to tidiness in less visible areas while overlooking a newly repaired hob. Márquez defended his organizational preferences by citing practicality and the specific uses for certain cookware, such as a particular pan for paella.
Atkinson is scheduled to return to work, with duties including "Gem & tonic duties, podcast recordings, hosting the radio, nursery runs and much more."
