The hugely popular anime franchise "One Piece" will open its first official U.S. store in Los Angeles in the fall of 2026. Dubbed the ONE PIECE MUGIWARA STORE, the location at Westfield Century City is also set to be the largest of its kind globally.

The store will offer fans a permanent destination for official "One Piece" merchandise, exclusive collectibles, and items unique to the Los Angeles location. Toei Animation, the company behind the anime, stated that the flagship store will feature original animation artwork, location-specific merchandise, and an in-store video designed to immerse visitors in the world of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat crew.

This opening marks a significant expansion for the franchise, which originated with Eiichiro Oda's manga in Weekly Shonen Jump on July 22, 1997, followed by its television adaptation in 1999. The manga celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2022, and the anime reached its own 25th anniversary in 2024. The series is currently airing the Elbaph Arc, which began in April 2026.

Until now, Mugiwara Stores have been limited to Japan and other parts of Asia. The Los Angeles store will be the first permanent U.S. outpost. The announcement follows a recent "One Piece Night" at Dodger Stadium, where fans received exclusive promotional cards. These limited-edition cards later saw significant resale value on secondary markets, with prices ranging from approximately $600 to over $1,150.

Official Instagram and X accounts for the new store, @onepiece_mugiwara_la and @OP_MugiwaraLA respectively, have been launched to provide updates and a countdown to the opening.
