A beauty writer has found a solution for aging eyes in a product called 'Lids By Design' eyelid correcting strips. Katherine Spenley, writing for the Daily Mail, described the strips as a 'push-up bra for your eyes,' noting they have taken years off her appearance.
Spenley reported that after initial skepticism, she found the strips to be effective. She experimented with different sizes, settling on 5mm, which she found made her eyes appear more open, brighter, and significantly younger-looking with a subtle lift. She initially tested the product during a family holiday.
The application process involves using plastic tweezers to place a strip in the eyelid fold. Spenley advises ensuring the skin is completely dry before application and using the provided tweezers to avoid creasing the strips, which can make them visible. She also suggests placing the strips slightly higher than one might initially think necessary.
According to Spenley, the strips are nearly invisible once applied correctly. She found that even close family members did not notice the strips during her holiday, and subsequent wearings have led to compliments on her appearance, with people asking if she had a new haircut or mascara.
The product, which costs £29.95, is part of a beauty routine that Spenley says has been questioned by friends seeking the secrets to her skincare. In addition to the eyelid strips, Spenley mentioned Le Specs sunglasses as a fashion accessory that also contributes to her look.
This discovery comes as Spenley's publication, YOU Magazine, is offering a Summer Beauty Box featuring a collection of seven skincare products curated by its beauty team, valued at £188.70.
