Emma Roberts married actor Cody John on July 25 at his family estate in Sun Valley, Idaho. For the reception after-party, Roberts changed from her antique-effect silk chiffon ceremony gown into a black Monique Lhuillier two-piece ensemble.

The after-party look featured a strapless Chantilly lace corset paired with a tea-length skirt adorned with silk organza. Roberts described the theme for this part of the celebration as “boudoir saloon.”

Roberts told Vogue that she embraced the idea of wearing black for the after-party, stating, “We love doing something that’s a little unexpected.” The chosen outfit was inspired by an archival piece from Lhuillier’s fall 2004 collection. Roberts noted that the ensemble had a timeless quality, appearing as if it could be "totally vintage from 100 years ago, or from now."

The ceremony dress, also designed by Lhuillier, was a custom creation that took nine months and approximately 1,000 hours to complete. Roberts envisioned herself walking down the aisle looking like “a little antique ghost doll.” This gown featured a built-in corset, a high slit on the left leg, and a removable asymmetrical shawl.

Roberts, 35, and John, 29, confirmed their relationship in August 2022 and announced their engagement in July 2024. Roberts' 5-year-old son, Rhodes, walked her down the aisle during the ceremony. Guests were observed holding white umbrellas to shield themselves from the reported 95-degree heat.

Earlier in the weekend, the couple and their wedding party were seen bar-hopping in Ketchum the night before the wedding, with Roberts wearing a semi-sheer white chiffon dress and white stilettos.
