Emma Roberts and Cody John reportedly tied the knot this weekend in Sun Valley, Idaho, marking the culmination of their two-year engagement. The ceremony took place at John's family estate, according to reports.
Roberts, niece of actress Julia Roberts, announced her engagement to John two years ago via an Instagram post. The couple began their relationship in 2022, with John frequently sharing tributes to Roberts on his social media. In February, he posted photos of Roberts, writing, "You make everything magic. Happy birthday, Emma," to which she responded, "I love you."
Prior to her relationship with John, Roberts was engaged to actor Evan Peters. She also shares a five-year-old son, Rhodes, with her ex-boyfriend Garrett Hedlund, with whom she was romantically involved from 2019 to 2022.
Roberts and John confirmed their relationship in August 2022, several weeks after they were seen together in New York City. John later made their relationship Instagram official with a photo of the couple kissing on a yacht.
A source close to the couple at the time told ET that Roberts was "very content with Cody, and they're enjoying their relationship and time together," adding that their friends and family "think they make a great couple."
Before dating John, Roberts expressed a desire not to date actors, citing the difficulties inherent in such relationships. She noted that actors she had previously dated were "border on method actors, and that is something that I think is extremely difficult to be in a relationship with."
Roberts and Hedlund were first linked in April 2019, shortly after her split from Peters. Roberts and Peters had previously been engaged before calling off their engagement in 2016.
