Ellie Goulding will perform at halftime during the upcoming England vs. Norway World Cup match, the singer announced on Friday. Goulding, 39, shared the news with her followers on Instagram, posting a series of photos of herself wearing an England x Palace football shirt.
"Performing at halftime for England vs Norway has me feeling like truly anything could happen… I already know the boys will make England proud, it’s coming home," Goulding wrote in her social media post.
The match is scheduled to take place on Saturday at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, with a kickoff time of 10 PM GMT. England advanced to the quarter-finals following a victory over Mexico.

In recent weeks, Goulding has been in New York City, where she attended a wedding hosted by singer Taylor Swift. Goulding's boyfriend, Beau Minniear, was also in attendance at the event held at Madison Square Garden.
Goulding and Swift have maintained a friendship since meeting on "The Jonathan Ross Show" in 2012. Swift invited Goulding to join her as a special guest on her Red Tour in 2013 and the 1989 World Tour in 2015. Goulding also appeared as the character Destructa X in Swift's "Bad Blood" music video in 2015. Previously, Goulding played a role in setting up Swift with Calvin Harris in 2015.
